Fresh tasting and slight sweet. I let it marinate overnight. A nice change from my usual cucumber salad (white vinegar + water + salt + pepper).

0.1g fat is light in anyone’s reckoning! This was SO quick to prepare and it is a delicious – and very different – way to serve cucumbers. I’ll be making them like this again. I didn’t have any cider vinegar, so I made this with red wine vinegar and – influenced by the name – I added a generous sprinkling of sweet paprika and a few grindings of black pepper. I allowed an overnight mingling of flavours before serving this to friends for lunch today. Everyone loved it. The cucumbers released a lot of liquid overnight, and I’m going to add that to some stock I’m making tomorrow! Thanks, Bergy, for sharing this little gem of a recipe.

This was excellent -it doesn't get any faster and easier than this; the combination of honey and apple cider vinegar turned out to be a great combination. I didn't make any changes and I am very happy with the flavor. Not sure if I will even bother to leave it in the refrigerator for an hour, it tastes fine as it is right now!

This was a refreshing change from the normal dill cucumber salads. It is a delicate taste that still allows the taste of the actual cucumbers to be enjoyed rather than masking them in a sauce. They were really easy to make too. Made for PAC Spring 2009.

We thought it was rather bland; maybe we're conditioned to having cukes with dip too much....
