For some reason I found a tablespoon of the baking cocoa to be too much (I actually used a little less than a tablespoon but it was still too much). The chocolate was overpowering and I could barely taste the banana or cinnamon. I will try again with less cocoa (which is really weird for me because I LOVE chocolate). Thanks for the recipe post-its a good combination of flavors to spice up ordinary oatmeal, I just need to personalize the quantities to fit my taste.

I really loved this. I have had chocolate oatmeal before with mixed success. The addition of the banana here makes it sweeter and quite a lot better, in my opinion. I used a frozen banana that I put in the microwave and so it was squishy. Mixed it well with the rest of the oatmeal and it all sort of blended together. Topped mine with a tablespoon of fat free cool-whip so it felt like I was being decadent!

Wow! I had planned on trying this a long time ago, but I've tried other oatmeal recipes & they haven't been to my liking-so I was nervous! But I am SO glad I took a chance-this was SO yummy & SO easy to make. I used 3 splenda pkts but did everything as directed. It is kind of a thick oatmeal, so next time I might top it with some more milk, as suggested in the directions. I had this for an afternoon snack & it was sweet & satisfying! Thanks so much for sharing!

Wow! That was about the best oatmeal I ever had! I just found out about RecipeZaar because I wanted to try new recipes for my traditional oatmeal breakfast. Just the right thing for me - since I love both chocolate and oatmeal! I tried it with 1/4 c oatmeal, 1/3 c milk(plus 1 c water), 1/2 banana and 1/2 tsp cocoa(which was enough) and then added 2 tbsp blueberries for some antioxidants.
