Very good cookies, easy to make love the lemon peel in these cookies. I made exactly 20 cookies. Ive made these twice now and the second time I baked them at 350 degrees which baked up with less of a crispy edge. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

These are the exact double of the madelines sold at Starbuck's! except these are fresh, and don't cost me half as much. thanks for the recipe, blucoat!

These are so yummy! If you are ever tempted to buying prepackaged ones just try making these, it's a cinch to make and taste much better freshly baked. Pretty as they are baked in the special shell pans, if you don't have them you can try baking them in mini cupcake tins. I added a splash of almond extract to this recipe and although it smells great, not sure what impact it had made to the madeleines since this was the first time I tried this recipe. Btw, this recipe says it makes 20 cookies, but I was able to make 24 in my madeleine pans.

These were so easy to make and tasted terrific! I didn't have a Madeleine pan so I just put them on the cookie sheet. They turned out fine.

These cookies were so easy! I used just cooking spray rather than butter for greasing the pan and they didn't stick at all. Light, buttery, and spongy!

Ok here you go, after 3 tries, my wife and I came up with these small changes that make a huge difference in the Madeleines... first of all you should cream the egg and sugar together until pale ribons form, then finish the recipe as stated except add 1 tbl butter and raise the temp of your oven to 400 degrees reduce the cooking time to 9 minutes and turn your product around after 5 minutes. now they are straight from Antibes, France... ENJOY!!!

These were excellent! Didn't realize these required so few ingredients. You really do need a baking tray with indentation because of the consistency of the batter. An electric mixture is a must in order to get it fluffy. I can't find Madeleine cookies in grocery stores anymore and there my husbands favorite! Thank you for posting.
