I prepared 1/2 recipe, with no substition of any ingredients. I coarsely mashed the ingredients. The yellow pieces of rutabags were pretty mixed with the turnips and potatoes. This was good, but seemed to be missing something. The flavor was a bit bland, maybe the rutabaga or turnips were not flavorful themselves. I am glad I tried this and would try again if I could put my finger on why it tasted bland to me. Thanks Engrossed!

This is exactly how my aunt makes Rutmus. I think this may be a better version than the one I submitted. If you like mashed cauliflower you should try this too.
