Very nice tasting cookies, & they are the best! They don't, however, last very long, & I can't figure out why! The only thing I changed was the amount of raisins ~ Once I get my hands in the raisin bag, they just seem to pour out [I used 1 1/2 cups, just so you know], along with another 1/2 cup of chips! Thanks for your recipe!

These are delicious. Oats in a bikky (Aussie for cookie) are always a favourite for me. Also love the cinnamon taste, it really compliments the saltana's, chocolate and walnuts. When asked how many stars my 2 1/2 year old daugher held up two hands and declared 10! A keeper for us.

Really good cookies. The only change I made was to soak the raisins in spiced rum and hot water for 15 minutes before adding them (DS and I just think it makes raisins taste better). These were easy to put together and very tasty. I especially liked the addition of the walnuts. Thanks for posting. We'll make these again.

Oh my LORD...best cookies ever. I am making these again, for sure!! I reduced the white sugar by 1/3 cup, though, and will probably reduce the brown sugar as well next time (so that I only use a total of 1 cup of sugar). There's so much good stuff in the cookies that too much sugar distracts from all those great flavors. Since I was out of chocolate chips, I simply chopped Hershey's milk chocolate kisses. I think the chunky texture was great. Also, I chopped rather than ground the walnuts...again, a texture thing. I loved the combo of flavors, and the cinnamon really made it for me. I also like that this doesn't take too many eggs!! I baked these for about 15 minutes on a baking stone (always takes longer on that). Thanks so much for this recipe. With a few modifications, it's really amazing, and our family loved the cookies.

We really liked these oatmeal cookies. I was CRAVING oatmeal cookies and this fit the bill perfectly. LOVE that the nuts are ground up. You get the crunch in every bite! Also love the chocolate in here with the raisins. Yum! Thanks chef!

These are are a great cookie! I love the mix of chocolate chips, cinnamon and the walnuts. They have a crispy texture on the outside but are chewy on the inside. One of the best cookies I've made in a while. Made for Cupid's Choice Bevy Tag Game Feb '08 and am glad that I did!

This is THE perfect cookie! Crispy yet chewy at the same time. So easy to make that my 3 year old does most of the work. I did make a few modifications to suit my family's tastes. I subbed 1/4 wheat germ for 1/4 c of flour, as I do in most recipes. I only used 1/2 c of white sugar. Instead of 1 1/2 t cinnamon I used 1 t cinnamon and 1/2 t nutmeg. I did not use the nuts and used 1 1/3 c of raisins.

I used butter flavor crisco instead of butter. Very Nice texture but a bit too sweet. The next time, I would reduce the white sugar by 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup. Update: I froze half the dough and baked for 10 minutes and they came out perfect. Nice and crispy but chewy on the inside.

These truly are outstanding cookies. I think it is cinnamon and walnuts which makes them special. I made a small measuring error which made mine extra loaded. Making a half batch my measurements were fine until the chips and raisins. Added the full amount and there was so much stuff my dough could barely contain it. Managed to keep it together by swueezing the dough and we loved it all the more. Would not change a thing here. Thanks!

Deeelish! These are not hard to make, and even better, I veganized them successfully by using a combo of oil and crisco, and egg replacer. They easily disappeared when I served them to company last night!
