This is a tremendous way to make a great steak and, quite possibly, one of the top 3 recipes I have made on Zaar (established by DH and myself). The steaks were so flavourful and garlicky and the Paprika-Parmesan Butter was awesome melting over the hot meat into a little puddle of divine sauce. The anchovy cannot be tasted on its own in the butter but adds a very subtle savouriness - do not leave it out! I can't rave enough because this recipe is quite simply that good. I hope it gets the attention it deserves. Thanks for such a keeper!

We loved the butter that tops these bad boys!!! This was a fabulous dinner! I marinated overnight and just loved the flavor. Our rosemary is very fragrant right now, and was very obvious when eating the steak... we LOVE rosemary! Thanks Nick's Mom! Zaar World Tour 3

This is really only one half of a rating. I've mixed the paprika butter and stored it in the fridge. Unfortunately by the time I needed it for the steaks my kids had eaten it all up on toast! Can't wait to try it on a steak! I had no anchovy but substituted 1 tsp. of soy sauce. It was great. Thanks.

WOW!! Not enough stars for this recipe. The butcher didnt have any good porterhouse steaks, I used rib eyes. The paprika parmesan butter was to die for. This is a must try recipe! Best steak we have had either at home or in a restraunt! Thanks Nick's Mom for a great recipe and one we are having again tomorrow! Just a little update. Ive made this recipe a few times now, so very good the last time I made this I made a little extra marinade and thru in some whole mushroom. Grilled them on the bbq with the steaks. With the parmesan butter on top.

I made this for Zaar World Tour III - I don't eat red meat but I made this for my Hubby and Little Miss (DD). I used pre-cut porterhouse steaks and kept to the recipe as written. Only marinated the steaks for one hour, Hubby said it was very yummy. Thank you Nick's Mom

This is fabulous. I used top sirloin cooked medium rare. I would have to agree with evelyn/athens that this is one of the best recipes I have tried on recipezaar. My DH loved the paprika-parmesan butter; in fact he ate it on his baked potato as well! Served this will baked potatoes and "Portabella Mushroom Salad" The salad really complimented the steak. Just fabulous!

I've made this several times now and it is a really fabulous recipe! It's great if you have the time and inclination to marinade the meat, but if you don't, just do the butter bit and you won't be sorry. This is one of those recipes that's more than the sum of its parts. It really is far more spectacularly good than the simple ingredients would suggest. Try it!
