13 Reviews of Banana Oatmeal Breakfast Brulée

This is the best oatmeal I have ever eaten! Anyone who loves bananas and the crispness of a brulee, will love this. Portions are generous. The only thing I would suggest differently is using raw sugar or ultrafine sugar for the bruleeing, the brown sugar tended to catch fire when using a torch on it. This is 5 stars plus, enjoy all!

This is just to good to be good for you! As I'm not a fan of milk in oatmeal (as such) I made the oatmeal with water as always, and added Splenda and cinnamon and put it in the bowl. Then I topped the yogurt and banana's with a light sprinkle of Splenda Brown Sugar. I think I enjoyed watching the sugar melt and bubble as I did eating it. Man is this a keeper!

Oh WOW! What a great morning treat!I love having oatmeal in the morning and this was a lovley step up from the old! The only change I made was I used strawberry yogurt instead. Other than that, great recipe! Thank you Mysterygirl!

What a fantastic breakfast! I Loved this! I eat oatmeal nearly every day and this is a delicious way to make it seem like a treat! The bananas are so nice and warm and extra sweet with the sugar sprinkled on top. The creaminess of the yogurt with the oatmeal is wonderful. I scaled it down to make 1 serving and I didn't really measure anything either. This would be a great breakfast to serve to guests. Thanks for posting this!

This made me love oatmeal! I thought the yogurt made it too sweet for me, so I'm adding about half on mine. No one else though it was too sweet. Our kids think that it's fantastic...even the kiddo that hates oatmeal unless it's from a package. Thanks!

Annacia's photo, which was Zaar's featured Yummy Photo today, led me to make this for brunch. Because I had no bananas, I substituted pears. The pears made it a bit crunchier, I imagine, but the taste was still fabulous. Can't wait to try it with bananas. I think it will be heaven-in-my-mouth.

Very easy to make. I changed nothing and was very happy with the result. it's very satisfying and not over-filling for one serving. I'm not much of a banana eater, but this oatmeal will be one of my favorites!

I made this as a special treat for my family. I really liked the flavor, but not a hit with the rest of the family. It would almost be better to mix it all together instead of layering it and adding a lot more banana slices. Thanks for the recipe.

This was pretty good. I used leftover oatmeal that I cooked in the crockpot. The yogurt was interesting in this and the banana and sugar caramelized on top was delicious.

I made this for breakfast this morning, halving the recipe. It was more than enough for two. I think next time, I will add cinnamon to the brown sugar mixture, and perhaps use a different type of yogurt (mine was bitter- not the recipe though). Thanks for sharing!!!
