I had to rate this recipe. I live in Norway, am an American from Seattle, and this is exactly how my Norwegian husband makes his fårikål. We love it and look forward to fresh lamb in September. Thanks for posting this very traditional and tasty recipe. Vanessa

    Thank you!!!! We tried this dish at Disneyworld and my family LOVED it. Even though I am part Norwegian, I was never taught any of the foods. My family LOVES this and asks me to make it.

    A wonderful stew on a cold day!! When I make it I add potatoes and carrots just for the extra veggies...thanks for posting this!!
