Delicious! I accidentally added the pomegranate juice in with everything else in the beginning but it didn't seem to hurt it. Rather than boiling it first, I just simmered it uncovered for about an hour to make the aroma permeate the house. I used a splash of vanilla extract since I had no vanilla bean and I put a handful of cranberries in towards the end. I only made a small batch (1/3 the recipe) which my little girls drank most of, so when I was down to the last cup, I added a cup of merlot to it, microwaved it, and voila, mulled wine for one!
