Have now made this twice with variations and enjoyed both immensely. The first time I did not pay attention to the ingredients list carefully and made the slushy with diet 7Up. Because the soda included sweetner, the Splenda was omitted. The second time I made it with seltzer as directed and used just 1 tablespoon of sweetner as that was sufficient for my tastes. Both drinks were light and refreshing, but i did like the seltzer version a bit more because the watermelon was a bit sharper. Either way, it was a crisp taste of summer in a glass. Thanks.

I enjoyed the drink! I used club soda with a little grapefuit soda and lemon juice added. Yummy!

This is really good ladypit, I just love watermelons and this really hit the spot. I couldn't find seltzer water anywhere so I subed with 7-Up, and omited the splendida, it worked well. It was a really big hit with the kids on my street as well. A new summer favourite, thanks for sharing.

WOW! This was really different and tasty! It took forever for my cuisineart blender to handle it though! LOL My teen son didn't care for it. I guess it was too "natural" tasting than sonic's! But I absolutely will be making it for myself again! Thanks for the post!
