Really fantastic recipe. Outstanding, complex spice blend with sweet and hot touches. I used less oil (about a tablespoon), and as a result it came out a bit dry. Maybe next time I would add more tomatoes, but that's it. Had this as a main dish with a refreshing salad side. New spice combination for me, thanks very much!

This was very good! I only made half the recipe and it still made quite a lot. I added a dollop of red Curry Paste to this also & that added even more flavor to an already flavorful dish. This is something I will make often...thanks so much for sharing this one!

Very nice. I used just a little less cayenne, used powdered cumin and cardamom. I also halved the recipe. Different and delicious! Thank you Rita!

Really good lentils! I halved the oil, and omitted the cardamom and cinnamon, as DH isn't a big fan. I also followed other reviewers comments and doubled the coriander, cumin and tomatoes. They were spicy, but not overly so. Generous portions too, fed 4 with brown rice. Reminiscent of Indian daal, delicious!

Very tasty lentils. I halved the recipe right down the line. Good spicing and a flavourful accompaniment to your Golden Salmon on a Bed of Lentils.

Very good an nutritious. I had with brown basmati as part of the core Weight Watchers. Next time I will try adding a little more spices and tomato. I might also try with brown lentils.

Yum, this is really tasty! I love all the spices. I also did not use the oil (just a spray or two for the pan) so I used a can of tomatoes which helped balance out the moisture. I will make this again for sure. Thanks for posting.

The lentils were delicious. I would definitely make this dish again. I did not use as much oil, only about 1 tablespoon to keep the onion/garlic from sticking. All else as per the recipe and it is definitely flavorful and spicy. A great alternative to mash potatoes. Thank you.

I halved the recipe and since I was eating alone there was still a lot left. I used red lentils which look orange to me. I'm not sure whether they are the same product. In any case, the end result was delicious. I served it with Golden Salmon on a Bed of Lentils.
