You must try this recipe - it is out of this world! The only change I made was to soak the cherries in rum for 2 weeks!! I took a Christmas goodies basket to work and my boss kept going on about the "chocolates" he thought I had bought! I also took them to a New Year's dinner with the same results! I have my second batch of cherries soaking in rum as we speak! I was able to find cherries with stems at Wal*Mart - won't that make them seem even more delectable!! I have to say I think this is my favorite recipe from Recipezaar and is fast becoming my signature goodie to make! Thank you so much for sharing!!

DEE-LISH-IOUS! I surprised my BF with these candies (he loves chocolate covered cherries,)and he has been snarfing these babies down! They are so addictive! The longer they sit, the better. With Christmas coming up, I am planning to make several batches of your chocolate covered cherries to give to friends and family as gifts! Thanks Divine!

These are some of the best Chocolate Cherries that I have ever eaten. Very simple, but takes a little time to put together. Worth the effort.

These are wonderful! The flavor is just great. I am trying to let them sit for awhile and cure a bit before eating but I keep sneaking them. I made the recipe as posted and it was very easy. These will be great gifts! Thanks for posting a recipe I will be making for many years to come.

WOW! Unbelievably good and easy! Everyone loves them. I usually double the recipe and then I can use the entire small can of milk. I also like to put them into small, white candy boxes, that I buy from special candy stores, and give them out as gifts.

Very good! I'm a little slow, so this was very time consuming- but not at all difficult. Besides, everyone loves them! I ended up with waaaay more cherries than this (perhaps I was heavy-handed, or the cherries were small) and switched chocolate halfway through to dark. I must say I much prefer the dark chocolate, and I can't wait to try them soaked in rum as per Carol Ryan's suggestion. Thanks so much for posting this!

These are really good. This is the third year that my cousin and I have made them together for Valentine's Day. They are a lot of work but they are really good! Thanks! :D
