This was sooooo easy and totally awesome!!!! My mom use to make this pie when I was young and since strawberries are in season, I've been thinking about this pie. I bought a really good frozen pie crust by Marie Calender (I highly recommend this crust) and after baking it, filled it as instructed. I gelled so nicely and as you can see, cut into slices without strawberries spilling all over. Just perfect in taste as well. Thank you so much for reviving my mom's recipe (she used jello too) for me! Pam

This dessert turned out just like the recipe stated. I think the next time I will try to use a different crust - maybe something with a bit more texture. I found that the plain crust seemed "wimpy" under the thick sweet strawberry layer.

Great recipe. I've tried another similar but it ends up with too much sauce in the end, this recipe uses a smaller amount of water and set up very well. I used it with a graham cracker crust and it was perfect and oh so easy to make.

I saw this pie in a recipe magazine and have been making it for a while, though mine did not call for the salt. This recipe all depends on the crust. I usually use the deep dish pilsbury frozen pie crust. The more strawberries the better also. This is always the pie I make for any kind of get together. It is just so great because it is low fat and you can use splenda and sugar-free jello for a diabetic and it tastes just as good. This is one of the easiest pies to make and overall the best pie I have ever eaten.

This was a really good pie. I don't know if I might have done something wrong but the bottom of my pie crust lost ist texture and just became soft...not soggy but not a good texture. I did however love the way the strawberries got even sweeter and perfect. I would make this again but I guess I have to figure out what went wrong with the crust.

This is a very good, very easy summer dessert, especially in a graham cracker crust! I used 1/2 cup sugar instead of 3/4 cups and thought it was plenty! Also, next time, I might slice the strawberries instead of just cutting them in pieces. Thank you for the recipe! Update - Without any topping, this is a 4 star pie. With Cool Whip, this is a 5 star pie--and with whipped cream, it is even better! Thanks!

This is a very good pie. Mine didn't set very well, so I think I didn't chill it long enough. However; I am going to make it again. Very good. Thank you.

Super easy! I used a frozen, deep dish pie crust and fresh strawberries that we picked! Everyone loved it!
