Love this blend of seasoning on the sweet potatoes! I found though, that gosh darn, I love a sweet, sweet potatoe- so I ended up adding 1/3 cup of brown sugar to the seasoning mix. I'm telling ya, it's soooo great!!

I had never heard of doing a sweet potato any way other than frying, baking (adding brown sugar and butter, only) or stewing, or the casserole, but this is an excellent change, will definitely do it again.

Yummy. I love baked sweet potatoes like this(blame it on Outback Steak House)but I haven't tried it with chili powder or cayenne. This was great and the cool thing about it is you can make each one tailored to how spicy other family members like it. Thank You for posting.

The combination of spices is wonderful--a little sweet, a little spicy. These were very much enjoyed.

Loved this! I don't much care for the usual sticky sweet sweet potatoes so loved the savory compontents here. Thank you for sharing your recipe. I served this with a simple grilled chicken and broiled tomatoes. Reviewed for ZWT 3.

I loved this!! We had these last night with steaks and couldn't get enough! I served them with honey butter in place of the regular butter and I had to cook them in the microwave a lot longer than the time you posted. But I started out with some HUGE potatoes! I poked holes in them and cooked them for 10 minutes then turned them over and cooked another 10 minutes. We will be having again soon!! Thanks mama!!

I made this for Zaar World Tour III - I had a huge sweet potatoes so I sliced it into thick chunks, then followed the recipe as written (I baked the sweet potatoes in the oven not microwaved) It was so yummy, the spice was perfect but not to overpowering. Thank you Mama's Kitchen

Great potato! My family doesn't really go for sweet potatoes, but this one made converts out of them. The spices are a nice mix that really does 'kick' this up. Thanks mama. Made for ZWT3.

I made the recipe with proper sweet potatoes MMm Good I used a yam (I prefer sweetpotato) and it was a large one so I cut it in half after baking it, cross hatchd the surface & added the spice mixture already mixed with the butter. - Super flavor. Thanks Mama;s Kitchen for a do again recipe (next time with sweet potatoes) - They say there is no difference between Yams & Sweet Potatoes but I think there is so when I say this was excellent on a Yam can't wait to try it on the real mcCoy!
