This was wonderful made as is (with all the garlic). I love the stuff, so it was perfect. I enjoyed it so much, I made it again a few days later. My daughter thought it was too spicy, so I will keep some aside without the red pepper flakes for her next time to make it more kid friendly. To me, it was perfect. I cannot wait to have it again. It is my new favorite pasta dish!

easy and simply delicious. flavors really compliment each other well and very uncomplicated. recipe is easier than it appears. this dish is a great meal to make when you are pressed for time and ingredients. i was looking for something healthy to make but my cupboards were a bit lacking. i will make this a regular meal for myself. i had it prepared in no time at all; did use just a bit of sea salt to stir into it and i cut up a few grape tomatoes as i had to use them before they went bad. excellent dish.

Kitten, once again you have done it. I love this recipe! I did not add any salt to the spaghetti (which was whole wheat), and I added 1 cup of rotisserie chicken from the store and 1/2 cup of frozen peas. The best part was the addition of thinly sliced basil. Not too much, but what a wonderful addition. The recipe is so light! Thank you.

I've made a pasta dish similar to this-- with 1 can of minced clams instead of the lemon juice-- it's flavor is wondereful for something so quick and easy!

What a wonderfully fresh and tangy tasting pasta sauce! I was a little alarmed when I tasted the sauce before I mixed it with the spaghetti because it was really sour, but after tossing it with the pasta, the taste was amazing. I actually forgot to add the last 3 tbsp of olive oil, but it did not matter. I would start boiling the pasta a little earlier though because by the time the sauce was done, the pasta was not, and since you want the starchiness that you get from the pasta water, you want it from water that has been boiled with the pasta for a little while to cook the sauce with. Very nice.

This is an easy and wonderful pasta side dish! Garlic amount is perfect as written and for my money the chilli flakes make the dish - perfect! I followed the recipe exactly except for having to use penne instead of spaghetti, it was still fantastic. Thanks so much for posting Kitten!

I make this recipe and it is very easy and yummy. The only thing I do differently, is no lemon and a tad of oregano. The "red pepper flakes" is the secret! My kids love it because it is easy and quick!

I would give this recipe WAY more than 5 Stars if I could. This stuff is SO good and really easy to make. I was going to add a couple of cans of chopped clams but realized I only had smoked clams, so I made this just as the recipe states. Everyone loved it! I tossed the pasta with fresh grated Parmesan cheese and served some on the side along with extra red pepper flakes for those who wished to add more. UPDATE: Since Feb 2008 I have made this a few times and tonite I added 2 cans of chopped clams with their liquid into the skillet and just heated it until the clams were warm. It made the best Clam sauce ever!!
