This recipe was just perfect. It made a wonderful christmas gift. I would suggest to not even flatten out the candies and just leave them as balls. It works out either way.

these are the best! way better than York. my family loves them. we always end up making a double batch. there was a problem with the amount of powdered sugar, though. i have always had to double the amount, otherwise it is way too runny, more like icing. i think the mistake may have been made by thinking the amount of powdered sugar in a bag was one lb, when it is actually two.

Made these with my kids for our some family guests. Everyone loved them, they were great! We keep them in the freezer and like to eat them while they are still cold.

Easy to make and twice as easy to eat. My daughter gave them the thumbs up, so loves peppermint patties.

Forget buying dry old yorks. These things are addictive. I keep a supply in my freezer and pull them out when I want a sweet. Love the crunch of the cold chocolate! The only problem is that I can't find a way of hiding them in my freezer!

We just love these mints. I have used this same recipe for years and they are requested every year!! I use chocolate bark to dip them in, works out great! They are easy to make and taste like real York Peppermint Patties. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Great taste, sugar amount was off needs more or it will be too runny, I used almost a full 2 lbs. What I did was just keep adding sugar until it was a nice dough consistency it started to taste somewhat sugary so I added just a bit more milk to it and mixed. Next time I do this which will be today or tomorrow I think I will make the balls a little smaller as it was a bit difficult to dip the larger patties. Over all this was a great recipe everyone who tasted them said they tasted just like York patties, just a tad bit better.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, as I followed the recipe. These didn't work out for me. The peppermint center was very runny and there was no way to roll into balls. I plopped spoonfulls out onto some parchment paper, hoping I'd be able to dip them after they hardened, but after 4 hours in the fridge the centers were still too soft. I was very tasty though!!
