Wonderful potatoes... especially for breakfast smothered in crumbled sausage and cream gravy!

I hadn't had fried potatoes in such a long time and this was a very good recipe. I love the carmalized onion, just enough sweet & spice to make those potatoes delicious. Thank you!

This is a great way to prepare potatoes. Very simple, very delicious. There was just 2 of us, so I cut the recipe in half. I used olive oil instead of butter and didn't use the full amount (even at half). In a non-stick pan, it worked just fine. They browned nicely and the flavour was great without being greasy. I normally use fresh garlic, but the powder worked really well here. I used more salt than I normally would, but I think this dish needs it. The onions were nice and caramelized, I think next time I will use more because they were so great but of course they shrink. Thanks Uncle Bill, I will make these potatoes regularly!

This recipe worked so well as a side dish to go with Schnitzel Schnitzel and easy cabbage and noodles Easy Cabbage and Noodles. My SO said It tasted just like what his mother used to make.Since there was only two of us, I only made half(which was a big mistake).I will make this again. Thank you so much for posting such a wonderful recipe.

Sometimes the simple things are the best. This is one of those recipes. Can't go wrong with these taters! I would increase the onion next time, just because I love them.

I hadn't had fried potatoes like this in years. Reminds me of the ones my grandmother used to make. We had them with grilled steak and carrots tonight. Yummy!
