Lynn, yes, the ones you buy are made from ground chicken. I don't grind it though, I just chop it really fine. I don't think I said ANYWHERE that I use CUBES. I am going for the taste. THE TASTE IS THE SAME. If you can achieve the same taste without the bother of grinding the chicken, what difference does that make?
Have a Blessed day.

Just like the real thing! 10 of us have "Survivor" parties every week and we take it in turns to host. I made these lettuce wraps and they were a hit. A little tedious to prepare if you don't have a processor though.

Amazing! My husband was impressed! I used ground turkey instead of chicken-much easier. I added a little ginger and some coconut. Also halfed the sauce. Served with brown rice and Ginger Peach Decaf hot tea. This is a keeper!

This recipe is wonderful. Try cutting the chicken with Pampered Chef's food chopper - it made it really easy!

I found the stirfry portion itself a bit lacking, so I added dried chiles and minced ginger. I minced the chicken and water chestnuts finer and thickened the sauce with cornstarch. Turned out wonderfully!

This was fantastic! I roughly cho[[ed the chicken breasts before cooking, stirfriede, then removed from heat and used my pampered chef food chopper to chop the chicken as Jewel suggested. Workede beautifully! Looked exactly like PF Chang's. I added some hoisen sauce to the special sauce, and I added some ginger to the filling. Loved it.. will be making again.. I'm thinking of going low-carb.. next time I will try using a sugar substitute.

Googled for a lettuce wrap recipe and found not only this one, but the site. Great place. Great recipe. Just happened to have everything in the house except the mushrooms, so made the filling with red pepper instead. Excellent, and a bit more crunch. I didn't use oil or sugar. I subbed honey for sugar and just left out the oil. Didn't have the paste, so used garlic powder and a few red pepper flakes. Nice finish in the mouth. I ate four small ones immediately. Just loved them. My daughter asked me if we had a Chang's in my town, but as far as I know, we don't. I sent her the recipe to try at home. It's a keeper.

This recipe is great! Tastes just like the real thing. Only thing that I was confused about...when/where do you use the onions? For some reason they are listed in the recipe, but not given in the directions! I just put them in with everything else! Thanks!

LOVED THIS RECIPE! I also took a few ideas from other posts like adding the Hoison sauce and substituting Splenda for both the white and brown sugar. Also used cooking spray instead of oil. Whole family loved it!
