If I could, I would give this recipe more than Five Stars. Everyone and I mean everyone loved this soup. It was nice to have a soup with a kick to it. I doubled the recipe because I couldn't find turkey tenderloins so I bought a 2 1/2 pound turkey breast and cut it up. It fit nicely in my 6 quart Rival slow cooker. I served it with a side salad and sourdough bread. Next time I will add one more can of black beans. This will be a mainstay in our household.

Wow! Yum! Very easy and tasty recipe. Doesn't make a lot-next time I will double the recipe. It didn't take nearly as long as 6-7 hours. four-five was plenty. I also didn't have turkey so I used chicken thighs. I would recommend cutting the chunks smaller than one inch. I may try adding another can of black beans and calling it a stew, too. I forgot all about the lime juice and cilantro, but it was still a five star recipe.

This has such a delicious blend of spices — really something special. I live in the UK so can't get those fancy tomatoes with chillies (but they sound delicous — fire roasted?!) so I just used plain tinned tomatoes and then about 1/4 cup of chopped jalapenos from a jar (Old El Paso). Do not leave out the lime juice and fresh cilantro at the end — this is essential to the blend of flavours.

Wow! This is so flavorful! I had a 14 oz can of chicken broth and 2 10 oz cans of rotel tomatoes, so that's what I used. Feeling lazy I used 1/2 tsp of onion powder and 1/2 tsp of garlic powder for the onion and garlic. I know it would have been better with...but still great none the less. I used 3 chicken breasts...again what I had. Also, I cut the breasts into 4 big pieces and the shreded it up as soon as it was tender. My rotel had cilantro and lime in it, so I didn't use the fresh cilantro...but it would have been great. I added the lime juice in the end and omitted the extra 1/2 tsp of salt. Delish! Will definately make again and share with friends.

I work as a nutritionist for a bariatric physician (Medical Weight Loss). I made this recipe for a have a "Souper New Year" work lunch. The skinniest co-worker ate about 8 servings and left none for the doctor. I am pestered for this recipe without mercy. I doubled it and then doubled the stock again to reduce the stewed quality. Thank-you so much for sharing this with us. this is actually a 8.5 star recipe minimum!!!

Really liked this, it was pretty spicy but DH and I both love that. Then to have something so simple for only 3 points what's not to like. I used chicken breast instead of turkey as that's what we could find at our small local store and increased the point value some because we thickened it a little with flour and served over white rice. Made a complete meal that we really enjoyed after a day working outside in this cool fall weather. Thanks Ally, we really enjoyed this.

Great soup! I used leftover turkey from Thanksgiving and cooked it on the stovetop. I doubled the recipe, and used a mix of homemade turkey stock & water until I got a more broth-based soup. My husband doesn't like super-spicy foods, so I used one can of tomatoes with mild chiles, and one can of plain diced tomatoes. Very tasty, and very South-Beach friendly!

Very good! I was recently diagnosed diabetic, so this fit into my meal plan , with a few minor changes. I also must watch sodium levels, so I used garlic powder instead of salt, and I pre-cooked dried beans (an eight-bean mix). I also used low sodium canned diced tomatoes and a small can of green chilis.
