This was easy and very tasty. I used a small onion and a shallot, and shredded some gruyere (to give it a real French twist). I will definitely be making this again. Made for the Groovy GastroGnomes for ZWT5.

Made this for company tonight and my friend took the recipe with her! I made it with beef broth because I served it with marinated flank steak. Thanks for posting.

I used this recipe, along with Porcini Risotto, and and created quite the MasterPiece! Thank you so much for posting this recipe....what a great addition to a great meal! I am out of garlic (bad timing!!!), so used garlic powder (a pathetic substitution, but what can I say? I live 50 miles from a decent grocery store!). Made for ZWT 3 French Region

This is a great side dish for pork or chicken. I’ve made it twice and used beef broth the second time for a little different flavor, and both were very tasty.

This is my favorite way to make rice pilaf...I've been doing it for years. It is a simple, fool proof recipe that is so much better than a boxed pilaf. It's also great with jasmine rice. Thanks for sharing! --Marla
