I would use 5 cups of cornflakes to make the color and candy side of this recipe stronger and be sure to work VERY quickly! I had to reshape with my hands all along the way so keep them buttered! I also recommend transfering the mixture to a microwaveable bowl from the pan when you finish mixing it in the event that you have to reheat it a bit to be soft again. I made small wreaths and got 25. Thanks for posting <3

A nice alternative to Rice Krispy bars. Be sure to keep hands wet or buttered to keep from sticking to the mixture. I also took thin red licorice, and made bows for the bottom of the wreath.

These were fun to make! You really have to work fast to make them though. They become very sticky and harden quick. Made these for my boys in North Carolina for christmas. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

This is a great recipe! (I cant believe that I didn't think of it already!) The only changes I made is I used NoName Frosted Flakes, instead of cornflakes because thats what I had on hand. When I was shaping them (which isn't the easiest thing in the world, and definatley not something my 6 year old or 4 year old could help with) I used a well buttered shot glass to mold the marshmellow-y glob of sticky christmas goodness around. (Otherwise I found it to be a very frustrating task.) I ended up getting 18 wreaths from this recipe at 1/4 cup each which was perfect for my daughters grade one class! (We also taped a christmas pencil and an eraser to the out side of each sandwich bag!) Thanks for posting!!

My bestfriend makes these every year "tradition" but she just makes one huge wreath and puts a red candle in the center, very pretty. Cornflake cake! Everyone loves it!!

These were great, have to work fast to prepare. We used a greased shot glass to shape the center which was a great help !! Thanks for sharing !!

Giving these 5 for flavor and probably around a 4 for the actual process of making them. I think next time I'm going to either increase the amount of marshmallow mixture or decrease the amount of corn flakes - I found it difficult to get all of the corn flakes as coated as I wanted them, which made it kind of hard to add the cinnamon candies after the wreaths were formed. I ended up having to make extra marshmallow mixture to stick the candies on at the end (it worked, but was kind of a pain, so making more marshmallow to begin with would solve that problem I'm sure). I also made them a little smaller and ended up with 25 wreaths. Very cute idea and the flavor was really good as well. In the future I'm going to try previous reviewers' suggestion of using red licorice to make little bows. Thanks so much for posting!

Excellent recipe and so much fun for the little ones as well as the big ones. I love quick and easy especially at Christmas. Did you know that dipping your fingers in water and shaking off excess is less greasier then buttering your fingers. I keep a cup of water on the counter while I'm shaping. Merry Christmas Thanks for posting a great recipe. My cookie tray will be beautiful this year. I will use mini Christmas M & M's.
