This was the recipe I chose to 'baptize' the new panini grill I'd been pining for. Rather than measuring carefully, I just dumped 3 or 4 T. mayo, a heaping tsp. of dijon, a little Italian parsley and 2 big basil leaves in a mini- processor and twirled it a few times. (That was more than enough spread for 2 extra-large sandwiches.) I used smoked turkey, bacon and Swiss, and brushed the bread with olive oil. The only way I really deviated from the recipe was by adding about a tsp. of hot pepper relish to each serving for a little kick. My son took one bite, muttered, "Killer! Absolutely killer!" — and then didn't come up for air again until he'd devoured every crumb. Can't wait wntil tomatoes are in season. That will add yet another layer of yumminess. Thank you so much, Pets! You definitely helped confirm the fact that I needed that panini.

Wow wow wow! These were so yummy!!! We used fresh chives and sourdough bread and also used mayo on the outside of the bread instead of the olive oil and these were delicious! So easy to make and they tasted so much better than any "chain" sandwich shop! Thanks for posting this great recipe! We will be making these alot!

I love how versatile this recipe is! We used combinations of turkey, roast beef, bacon, swiss, american and pepper jack cheeses. I added basil to the mayo/mustard combination. I also brushed the outside of the bread with mayo before cooking in a cast iron skillet. These were wonderful served with Beef Goulash Soup Beef-Tomato Soup. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

I love this, I made it then was craving it so I made it again the next day! I made a half recipe, and I used fresh basil from the garden for the "fresh herbs". I also added finely sliced red onion. Then I sprayed some olive oil spray directly onto the bread and put it in the grill. Yummy! I would eat this every day if it didn't have so much fat LOL

Really great, probably would have been better had I remembered the turkey : ) I kept wondering why it wasn't a "club" sandwich until I remembered... but is was really good. I think the recipe writer meant Dijon mustard, at least that's what I used.

This was a fantastic meal. I only used one piece of swiss and added half a piece of american and half a piece of pepperjack. I also put lettuce on this sandwich. I was a little skeptical about the mayo on the outside, but I tried it anyways and it was so yummy!!!

I personally thought the Mayonnaise was a little too much, so instead, I used a 1/4 cup Dijon mustard with 1/4 cup of Mayonnaise and added olive oil to the outside bread sides. Calls also for a low fat option!

YUM!! We used garlic artisian bread (the kind at Costco w/ whole cloves of roasted garlic in it) Instead of fresh herbs I mixed some pesto into the mayo and we used our George Foreman grill...soooo good! Thanks Pet.

These were fantastic! Followed the recipe exactly, using fresh chives and grilled on my Geo. Foreman. Perfection!
