Our Ds's enjoyed this a great deal, but my DH and I found this too salty. Would only use the garlic salt next time and omit the table salt.

This is more Noodles Cheddaroff. Noodles Romano should have Romano cheese. Nothing like Noodles Romanoff.

This is it! The recipe I have been waiting for. I loved Betty Crockers Noodles Romanoff and have been despondent for years since it's demise. I couldn't figure out how to duplicate it. Now I see that it needed a little sugar to get that good old fashioned, processed taste.

We, too, were fans of that boxed mix. So, of course, had to try this recipe--not exactly as we remembered----but---that's okay because these were really great anyway! I doubled the recipe and it worked fine. Thanks so much for posting this.

Enjoyed this very much. The only thing I changed was substituted 1/2 c. no fat yougart instead of the sour cream. CSL

Sorry, but this did not taste any thing like the noodles romanoff I remenber. More like mac and cheese but with noodles. At All recipes.com I did find a recipe by Kathy..which sounds like the real thing, will try and let you know.

At least I have a place to start as we loved the boxed recipe too. I may try Romano cheese next time as suggested by another review. Also, as much as I love salt, it was way to salty. I may try garlic powder instead of garlic salt. Other than being too salty it was pretty good. I think I will try it again with only the two changes above.
