Made this with whole baby carrots. Didn't have any honey, so used a little brown sugar. Now I have honey, will try again, very good.

Some veggies are too plain, some too involved, these are just right. I tried the carrots after sitting 2 minutes and found them too sweet. After about 5-6 minutes the honey mellowed a bit more and the flavor of the basil and balsamic vinegar emerged a bit more. Who knew basil would work so well on carrots? That said, I'm likely to use a bit less honey next time. Thanks for a wonderful addition to my bag of veggie tricks.

This was such a quick, easy side dish. We really enjoyed it. I used fresh basil, which was delicious. I ended up adding salt, though. But this was still a great recipe. Thank you!

At first I thought the flavors of the spices tasted too harsh, but I added a pat of butter and everything blended nicely. (This might be similar to another reviewer's comments that they liked the carrots once the flavors had absorbed.) I'm used to putting butter/basil on my carrots, so that might be why I felt the butter was needed! The balsamic went together nicely with the Dijon. Everybody finished their carrots and I kept going back until the pan was empty! Roxygirl

Although the instructions in this recipe produce perfect-textured carrots, I didn't find the flavour very appealing. I found that the balsamic vinegar overpowered all the other ingredients.
