The first time we saw Paula Deen make these, my DH requested them and they were a huge hit at our Thanksgiving meal. I have refined the recipe just by pre-cooking the bacon a bit just to cook off some of the grease before wrapping the bundles in the bacon slices. I also use center cut bacon (the 33% less fat kind), I don't like really greasy vegetables and that is what you will get if you use the cheapest bacon out there!!

What you see is what you get! Simple, yet so elegant and scrumptious! Some balsamic vinegar sprinkled on top would not go far wrong, either.

This is so good! Perfect side dish for entertaining. Simple, easy to make ahead, looks pretty, and so yummy. Everyone raved about the smoky bacon-infused flavor of the green beans.

These are very good. I am planning to make these for a wedding, so I tried three variations to see which worked best. I tried unblanched with uncooked bacon. That did not turn out well, and I found that blanching is very important!! I tried blanched with uncooked bacon and by the time the bacon was done, the green beans were WAY too done. So, I tried blanched with precooked bacon and it turned out great. I also added a little bit of garlic powder. My taste testers gave rave reviews. Thanks for the posting!!

I love these!! I think I've served them to almost everyone I know! They are so simple to do ahead for company and I always get rave reviews - even from people who usually aren't crazy for green beans. Thanks for sharing.

Super easy to make, and I liked the fact that I could make them ahead of time and just pop them in, but to us they just looked extra fancy, nothing like I had expected when I saw her make them and read the reviews here. I'll try them again but its not something we'll be craving or drooling for.

My mom and I made these after seeing them on Paula's Home Cooking about a week ago... They're so incredibly easy to make and taste even more incredible! lol my mom's been spreading the recipe around everywhere and everybody loves them as much as we do. I agree, they're highly recommended. Paula Deen is my queen. :D

Excellent! Easily made and most impressive presentation. Very nice flavor. I used whole frozen beans, thawed.
