This tasted just like BBQ chicken. I followed the recipe exactly except I added 1/4 tsp cayenne to the brown sugar/chili powder mix for a little kick and I also had to cook it for an extra 10 minutes. The chicken was tender and the bacon was cooked perfectly - not soggy at all. One thing I did do differently is midway through cooking, I turned the chicken over as I noticed the bottom wasn't as crisp as the top. Other than that, very easy and quick to make. Thanks for sharing Sharlene!

This was a big hit, I made it for a birthday party and was one of the first things gone. I cut the chicken up a day before and marinated it in a little lemon juice, seasoning salt, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder and cumin. The next day I wrapped in the bacon and dredged in the brown sugar mix, I also added a little cayenne pepper to that mixure but next time I will add a little more for a bigger kick (super bowl party). I cooked them for about 40 -45 min. as some of the chicken pieces were a little larger than 1-inch and I wanted to make sure it cooked. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the brownsugar mixture gave it a special little zing. Thank you for the great recipe.

Very easy appetizer. I made these up in the morning and put them in a container for later in the day. When it was time to make them I simply added the brown sugar and chili(mixed together) to the container and shook. These disappeared fast. I would recommend putting an absorbant towel underneath when serving as there was a bit of grease on the plate. Next time I might use a rack when cooking these in the oven in order to allow the grease to fall off. These were very easy and fast to prepare and can be made ahead. Thanks for the great recipe.

I saw this on the Paula Dean show and have made it several times. It is such a great appetizer and guys especially love it! I have tried to make these ahead of time and stored them in the fridge. If you do this, just hold off on rolling them in the brown sugar mixture b/c the brown sugar absorbs the liquid from the bacon and becomes syrupy and rolls right off. You can however make the rolls ahead of time and mix the brown sugar mix and then roll them in the mix right before popping them in the oven. Great appetizer though and very filling!

This was great... I made them for New Years Eve and everyone loved them. I used the wire rack (like the recipe called for) and they weren't greasy at all. I'm a diabetic so I used the new Splenda brand Brown Sugar and it worked out great. I like spice so I added some cayenne pepper along with the chilli powder to the mix.

Delicious and easy. Used a gallon sized freezer bag and made the chicken ahead of time then just tossed in the brown sugar-chili powder mix and shook them all up. I cooked mine for 45 minutes to make the bacon crispier. Also lined my pan with foil to make clean-up easier and turned the chicken over once half-way throught cooking. I served this as a main dish with corn, cheesy potatoes and garlic bread and it was a huge hit! A big test for me is how well my 2-1/2 year old twin granddaughters like things and they loved this dish!

Try using the crockpot, also try hot dogs cut up and wrapped w/ bacon. Put into crock, dump brown sugar over and turn on! Bacon gets nice and crispy! Yumm-o

I thought these were okay - I think next time I will just dip them in barbeque sauce and cook them, wasn't real fond of the chili powder.

WOW!!!! These were FANTASTIC!! We had them as a meal with rice and fruit salad and everyone just loved them. They smelled so great while they were cooking too! Well worth the trouble! I love the brown sugar/chili powder combination and will probably try it on whole chicken breasts, pork chops, etc - it's that good!

These are soooooooo good. Amazingly easy and there isn't anyone who can resist them. These are definitely going to be a staple for get-togethers for me. Make sure to oil your broiler pan and cover the bottom with foil for easy clean-up. Awesome recipe!
