I was going to post the same recipe. Thanks for posting this keeper, Ruby. Tip from Sunset magazine (where it took grand prize): The mixture will look dry until it comes together as a dough. If it's too crumbly to form into balls, the dough needs to be mixed longer; it should be a smooth, homogenous mass.

For some reason I have gone crazy this Christmas and decided to make an enormous amount of different kinds of cookies. I chose these because they looked like they would be different from any I had made so far. They are TRULY addictive...I am almost burned out on cookies but these made me crave more! I recommend them hightly. Easy and delish. You won't be dissapointed. Thanks Nancy...these have already become a tradition.

Tried these at Xmas and I loved them but seemed to be only one eating them. Loved the dried cranberries.

I clipped this recipe years ago and finally got around to making it this past weekend. Decide to check Zaar and see if it was posted, and here it is. Everything is the same except that my version, which is attributed to Sunset magazine, calls for 1 egg. A yummy recipe that I will be making again.

I don’t bake cookies a lot, so I thought this recipe was a little challenging for me. I kept mixing and the dough really never came together (dry), so I had to almost knead it to be able to form it into balls. Well with that being said, these where my DH’s favorite!

These are very good. I added 1/2 t. of salt as I use unsalted butter, and about a half bag of chocolate chips. I love the combination of fruit and chocolate. I also found that they needed to bake for 11 minutes to be done in my oven. These will look very pretty on a holiday cookie tray. Thanks Ruby!
