Gorgeous bread, great texture and wonderful taste. Very easy and simple. I have to say I was a little skeptical when I did not see eggs among the ingredients but after looking at Bev's gorgeous picture I decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did it. I used warm water and quick cooking oats, not the instant, though. Best bread I have made so far. It rose to the top of the pan.

Great Bread, I made axactly as directed. It rose to the top of my Bread machine and the smell was wonderful. Up there with the best bread recipes I have tried. I toasted it for breakfast this morning and it is so yummy. A definite keeper, thanks for posting!

I've seen this recipe on Zaar a million times and for some reason I kept passing it up to try another recipe. Why have I waited so long? This makes a fantastic, delicious, moist loaf of bread! Soft and fluffy, with a great texture. I followed the recipe exactly except used the dough cycle and placed the loaf in the oven to bake. I baked it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

This is some good stuff! I followed the recipe except for subbing 1 c whole wheat flour for 1 c of the bread flour. Wanted to use rolled oats but didn't have enough so just quick oats. The bread smelled heavenly baking and was so moist and tender. We cut slices when right out of the ABM and had it w/ butter. This is my favorite ABM recipe so far. Definitely will be making it again! Thanks so much for sharing it!

Love this bread! I recently brought a loaf to a get together and had many compliments on it plus one request for the recipe. It has a great texture and is loaded with soluble fiber! Perfect for people with IBS!

I don't know anything more tempting than the aroma of bread baking in the oven. This is an awesome recipe for oatmeal bread. Wonderful, mosit texture; and a flavor so versitile this bread could be used for anything from French toast, to a sandwich for your lunch, or even sliced plain served with butter and jam as a midnight snack. I know I will be making this recipe a lot. Thanks Charmie!

This is a great tasting ABM recipe! The bread was beautiful and did not have that rubbery ABM texture. The bread did rise and pop the top of my bread machine open a crack and I had to cut the top off....which may have happened since i proofed the yeast for about 10 minutes.... but such a nice loaf! We were eating it as it cooled with honey..... Thanks Charmie!

Very good bread! I noticed that others have seen this rise too much with the specified quantity of yeast. On my first try, I used a Fleischmann's yeast packet of 2 1/4 teaspoons, and still got rising so high that the loaf actually stuck to the dome of my bread machine. The next time, then, I cut the yeast back to 2 teaspoons. Still got a light, fluffy, high loaf, but this time no contact was made with the lid of the machine. My permanent change to the recipe, then, will be to use only 2 tsp. of yeast. To add another flavor note and a bit of a crunch, I've also been adding 1/3 of a cup of sunflower seeds. Can't begin to describe how tasty that is!
