These cookies are delicious. The nutmeg is what makes them so good. Highly recommend this recipe.

Nice cookies. They are rather crispy, and I found if I baked them for 12 minutes, it was really too long, so I stopped at 10 with the second batch. The dough is really nice to work with though for using cookie cutters and I prefer the taste to a plain old sugar cookie.

Everyone else reviews these so highly that i can't help but wonder if it's "just me", but these just don't do it for me. There's something about the texture that i didn't like, they were bland and more dry-crumbly than crispy. My son concurred that these were merely "ok", and we won't be making them again. Sorry.

FANTASTIC! Really tasty. I made these at Christmas and gave them away as gifts--they were a hit, but forgot to review them. I also made them for my boyfriend for Valentine's day and they were gone very quickly.

My mother had this recipie that we made every Christmas, and lost it in a move - we finally found it again! Thanks so much for sharing! The nutmeg really sets it apart from other cut-outs in a subtlely delicious way.
