8 Reviews of Cute Edible Apple Turkey (Thanksgiving Treat)

From: DogAndCatDoc

On Dec 7, 2005

This was really fun to make Thanksgiving day. I used a large seedless black grape for the head and also put on a candy corn beak cut down to size and attached using a toothpick tip. I alternated chocolate covered raisins and plain jumbo golden raisin to make the tail feathers. I used the finished product as a table centerpiece and all of the guests really got a kick out of it. Am looking forward to making it again next year!

They are cute and a nice addition to the Thanksgiving table. They are also fun for the kids to make.

This was a really fun day-before-Thanksgiving project for my niece and nephew and I to work on. We used dried cranberries for the raisins, and everyone loved the centerpiece the next day for dinner.

Oh My Goodness! These are cute. Plan to use these for preschool/kindergarten next year. My four year old just made one by herself with what she found in the frig and cupboard; she used whole cranberries and raisins and we just cut up large marshmallows to make smaller ones. Thank you for sharing!

This was a great project to do with my kids, and the apple turkeys made adorable decorations on our holiday appetizer platters. They were a huge hit with the whole family!
