22 Reviews of Peanut Butter and Jelly Sushi Rolls

I made this for my 3 1/2 year old in a bento for lunch. He loved them! I used whole wheat bread, creamy peanut butter, and homemade raspberry jam. I found they held together a little better if the last edge rolled up had only peanut butter, no jam. Jam all the way to the last edge was too slippery, and also gooshed out a little.

Such fun to make and sooo easy!! I used pbj and then some whipped cream cheese and raspberry jam. Made for a very festive presentation. A sure kid-pleaser. Thanks for posting!

I always make these for my son! Sometimes we add fillings like fruit (banans work good) - you can freeze these as well, take them out and pack them frozen in the bento/lunch and they will be ready to eat by lunch time! Also works great with other sandwhich fillings!

These are so good and so much fun. Some tips i have are: Microwave the peanut butter to make it easier to spread. Stir the jelly to make it not one big chunck. Only put jelly on a little over the bottom half of the slice. Leave the last edge to be rolled only with peanut butter. After you finish rolling it up roll your hand back and forth to seal the roll. Put in freezer to harden rolls to make it easier to cut slices. Wipe knife with wet and dry towel after each roll. These were fun to make and everyone got a kick out of them. Yummy!

I love this! A new twist on an old favorite, and the small size makes this super portable and great snacking! I just had a slice, now I want more!

I do this all the time for my kids - it's so much cleaner than having them take bites of a sandwich! This also works for nutella or tuna salad (if you mush it into a kind of paste first). I cut it into 8 thin slices for my youngest, but leave as-is for my 2 1/2 year old.

This recipe was great for my 4yr old dd. She isn't a sushi eater til I introduced this recipe. The only thing I did different is added a sliced banana. Thanks!

This is too funny! I'm having an April Fool's bunco theme this month. I'm definitely making these as an appetizer! What a great surprise and I'll try different colored jellies to make it look exotic! Thanks for the great idea!
