We love this simple salad. It is very popular here in Greece, especially in winter, and often accompanies a rich, roast meat and is eaten to 'clean the mouth'. Lemon juice is also good in the vinaigrette instead of vinegar. This recipe is 100% authentic.

Very pleasant and refreshing. The 'mustiness' of the dill is a lovely contrast to the other flavours. I'd use a bit less olive oil next time, but there will definately be a next time!

Awesome salad! So easy and refreshing and flavorful! Do shred the lettuce- the texture MADE this salad! It did scream for some fresh garlic so I added some into the dressing. Thanks for a great recipe Blue!

Very good salad! I used lemon juice instead of the white wine vinegar, and fresh chives instead of the spring onions, as it was all I had on hand. It turned out great; however, I do think I might reduce the amount of EVOO next time.

I bought the prepackaged romaine lettuce, mixed together the dressing, and enjoyed! This is a very nice fresh tasting salad and perfect when I want a salad without all the extra's added in.

This came together so quickly I could scarcely believe it. It's a nice change when you feel tethered to your kitchen for dinner. This salad/dressing combo is light and perfect for a summer evening. Hot-weather fare for certain. Thanks for sharing!

Made this salad even lighter by reducing the amount of olive oil considerably. Dill weed is one of my favorite herbs and I loved the way it tasted with the romaine lettuce. The scallions gave the salad some bite. Romaine lettuce is packed with both vitamin A and C so it's one of my favorite lettuces to eat. Couldn't go wrong with this recipe! Thanks.
