TO DIE FOR!!! OMG....This was so wonderful! Got my kids to "lick their plates" of all the sauce! YUM! This has got to be the easiest crockpot recipe I've ever tried — and although I was a bit skeptical because of the peanut butter, I can honestly say that the sauce in this recipe was very, very savory and a little "beefy" as well as a little bit sweet...Another "keeper" that I have been asked to put on our monthly "rotation" of favorite recipes! I'm so glad I tried this one for ZWTII! Good stuff!

Wonderful chicken! I used boneless skinless thighs (just my preference) and I adapted the recipe to the oven (baked it covered at 375). I took advice from a previous reviewer and added about 1-2 tbsp of honey. I always use low-sodium soy sauce, so saltiness wasn't a problem for me. I served this over fine egg noodles. It's quite a kid-pleaser. This is great when you want something quick and easy. I will make this again in the oven or crockpot. thanx for posting!

Quick and simple to put together. I used 4 skinless chicken breasts that totalled just over 1 kilo (2.2 lbs). I cooked on High setting for 3.5 hours (I think 3 hours would have done it though). Needed to add extra juice...ended up adding about 2 small juiced oranges as the sauce was cooking up too quickly and another spon of peanut butter. I did add the 2 tablespoons of honey and used a strong flavoured gluten-free Japanese soy sauce to make my meal gluten-free. Served with boiled rice and brocolli. I sprinkled over some chopped nuts and green herbs to serve. Photo also being posted

Hubby and I had to adjust this heavily; sauce was a bit bland and thin for our tastes. We doubled the peanut butter, added another 1 cup of orange juice, 4 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1/3 cup honey, salt, pepper and hot sauce. Then it was very yummy. A good base to experiment in tastes from, cooking time correct and all.

I thought that this recipe was simple to make, but like another reviewer, my family found the sauce to be quite bland. We generally like peanut type sauces, but w felt this sauce was missing something I used half the amount chicken breasts, but I kept the amount of sauce the same. I don't believe there would have been enough sauce if I had used the 3-1/2 lbs. of chix.

This was very flavorful and tasty. I might use a little less peanut butter next time only because it seemed strong to me. I used both the optional ingredients and ended up with the perfect amount of liquid. I served it with rice.

My family enjoyed this dish. I'm very happy to have found this recipe. I chose this over a couple of other similar ones because it had few ingredients which makes it easier to get the flavors just right for my family. I knew when I first read the recipe that the orange flavor would need some punching up. So, I used the juice of one orange and about a teaspoon of zest. I think some minced ginger would enhance this dish. And, maybe even a dash of red pepper. I browned boneless chicken thighs lightly before putting them in the crockpot. I poured the sauce over all. It was done in about three hours. This could easily be baked in the oven. I served it with rice. I think orzo or thin spaghetti might have been a better choice. I thought the sauce was a bit salty. Next time I'll use a natural, unsalted peanut butter. I just can't see how to cut the soy sauce and maintain the flavor. I'll be making this again.

My DH and I really enjoyed this last night for supper. Prepared exactly according to the recipe, it was very tasty and very easy---my favorite combination. Thanks for a keeper that is quite different from our usual chicken meals.

This was very good. I tried this because I've never tried an 'Asian' dish in the crockpot before. It was simple and very tasty. I did double the sauce and made the recipe as directed otherwise. To do again, I think I would add some red pepper flakes - but the broccoli dish that I made to go with it, contained red pepper flakes and I got a little carried away, so it all balanced out, lol. Thanks Charmie. Made for ZWT4 Family Picks.
