Great snickerdoodle! I use a scoop that is larger than a golf ball, but smaller than a baseball. Baked cookies are 4-5" in diam. Crispy on the outside, soft and wonderful on the inside. If you are looking for the perfect snickerdoodle stop now,,,,you found it.

My first time making snickerdoodles, what a great cookie! I loved that they were a little crisp outside but nice & soft on the inside. I'll be making these plenty of times~

Snickerdoodles have been my favorite cookie since the beginning of time. I had thought the recipe in my very old Betty Crocker cookbook was the best, but this one beats it hands down!!

Theses cookies turned out perfect! I was sending a care package to my son Devon, who is in the Army and presently serving in Iraq. I was looking for a cookie that would ship well...especially in the heat. (In Iraq they get temperatures of 120 degrees plus and unforunately choclate chips don't ship well this time of year.) Anyway I always send enough for the whole platoon and my son said everyone one loved them!!! They were just as described...slightly crisp on the outside and very tender on the inside and even though it took almost 2 weeks for my son to get them, they were still fresh! I used regular sugar and cinnamon to roll the dough balls in on half of the cookies and I used raw sugar and cinnamon on the other half. The raw sugar got mixed reviews but it was an interesting twist. I never was a big fan of my mom's snickerdoodles but I know I'm going to make this recipe over and over again!

I use this same recipe also and it is great. My kids ask for these all the time, though it's been awhile. I just watched a video last night from 2003 and my younger son Brett who is 7 now is seen on the tape asking for chicker snoodles, I just laughed and now makes me want to make them again. Thanks.
