A family friend we called Aunt Geraldine used to make this for the holidays. It never last long. I didn't get the recipe from her before she fell ill and no one knew the exact recipe so I am glad to find it here with all the other favorites I have been looking for. Thanks!!

What a great recipe! This is a sure keeper for a quick and easy dessert. I especially love that the kids can make it. They enjoyed putting it together and then eating it warm with fresh whipped cream. Thank you for posting this treat!

Loved the taste---very addictive. It was a bit mushy, more of a cobbler than a cake, but wonderful with whipped cream. I put some coconut on the bottom instead of the nuts (to save a trip to the store) and it was great.

I LOVE this recipe, but I always make it without the nuts. Either way, it's a winner!

This is one of my all time favorites. My grandmother has made it for many years. She's always called it Mary's Dump Cake. Try it with Duncan Hines French Vanilla cake mix. Delish!
