For taste and presentation these are five star, but I believe the instructions should indicate that the chocolate chips and shortening should be drizzled on top and not mixed into the filling. Thanks for posting this recipe, it will be an attractive cookie on my Christmas baking platters

I gave this 4 stars. These taste just like mint brownies I make from a recipe in a magazine. I chilled my dough but found it was not workable after chilling and had to be warmed. I didn't have great success with my cookies staying formed during baking (they went flat) after the dough warmed up though. Great mint flavor and the kids loved them! Thanks for a good recipe christine (internetnut)
