The real trick to this recipe is once you put the marshmellows in the mixture is to stir very fast and get it all mixed before it starts to cool. Immediately pour into dish. I greased my dish with Pam. My Grandmother Weaver used to make this all the time at Christmas and it was such a treat! Thanks Paula. Browns Goodies

I made this fudge this morning, the first time I have ever made fudge, and it was perfect! I have arthritis, so by the time I had the marshmallows mixed in well, I was pained and tired, but it was well worth it! My children won't stay out of it! I'm glad another poster mentioned about lining the pan, or I wouldn't have done so. The fudge was the perfect consistency, chocolatey and delicious. Thanks for posting a great recipe.

Yummy! I needed something quick and sweet for a family potluck and this was it. I let my husband, who "doesn't really like chocolate" lick the spoon as a taste test, and he wouldn't give the spoon back until it was licked clean! I am so happy with this fudge recipe! I can't wait to make it for Christmas! Thank you for sharing, FarahC!

I'm thinking we should re-name this fudge, "Paula Deans Stir Until Your Arm Falls Off Fudge. I followed this recipe to the T, and it took me much longer than 5 minutes. More like 30, and I even used my professional counter-top mixer to mix in the marshmallows. Texture is a bit grainy, but I'm a Certified Fudgie from the lower peninsula of Michigan, spoiled by many blocks of Mackinac Island fudge over the years. I want fudge to be soft, creamy goodness... So... because 1. it took much longer than the 5 minutes promised in the title, and 2. because it is a bit grainier than promised, I'm giving it 3 stars. It does taste good, and the real test will be the reaction of my four nephews at tonights Christmas get-together. Thanks for sharing.

Taste was great, consistency was great. I needed it much quicker than the five hours it took to set up. I even beat it when it came off the heat. o well. i will use this recipe again.

I don't consider myself a dummy but in this case I was, I didn't line the pan with parchment paper or anything, I followed the recipe to a "T" but it never said to line the pan. I have never made fudge before I thought it was easier to buy it.I had a terrible time getting it out of the pan, once it was out I tried softenening it over the stove again and that wasn't any good so decided to melt it in the microwave which did work and I lined the pan with parchment paper, what a difference it made. I am giving you a 4 because of the taste but should have given a 3 because of the trouble I went to.

This turned out great! I did line my pan w/ wax paper & it worked well. After I poured in the pan I sprinkled some dark chocolate chips on top. This was my first time making fudge & it was super easy & delicious!

I'll give it 4 stars because my kids were wild about it, but I personally think it is way too sweet--although with milk chocolate, sugar, & marshmallows I shouldn't have been surprised. It also has a bit of a grainy texture, rather than the silky smooth texture I like in fudge.

Very rich but very creamy. Fastest fudge I have ever made. My husband's co workers loved it. Thanks FarahC. Bullwinkle
