We also had the stuff that kept floating to the top, which was cinnamon! I love cinnamon, but 1 tsp was waaaaaaaaaaay too much. I can't believe no one else thought so. We plan to make this again using just a pinch. Good flavor overall, since as the cinnamon floated to the top, we spooned it out.

This was great! Had a bunch of overwhelming flavors that made this drink fnntastic! It had a lot of "stuff" that kept on coming back up to the top so probaly it might help if you drain this over a cheesecloth or something!(just a suggestion!) Thanks for the recipe!

We used this recipe for a premidnight showing of Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire gettogether & were a little skeptical that it would be any good, but it is absolutely delightful & tastes perfectly like I'd imagined Butterbeer to taste like while reading the books!

This was a huge hit at my teenage daughter's Harry Potter book release party. I can't wait to try it with a little kick for the grown ups

Yummy. I found it a little sweet with an ounce of butterscotch syrup (I made it for my kids on a cold day), so I will put a bit less next time, but I would definately make it again. I did also lessen the amount of cinnamon after reading one of the other reviews, so I don't know how it would taste with the full tsp of cinnamon.

We made this for an adults' Harry Potter Scene It party. (Scene It is a game.) For my first batch, I misread the recipe and added 2 T of honey instead of 2 t, so I omitted the sugar, which worked out well. I also used 1 oz. vanilla vodka in place of the vanilla and I used ~1 T butterscotch syrup. In the second batch, which I tripled (because the first batch was a trial batch), I used ~4 T of honey. The women were more enthusiastic than the men about drinking it, but it got two thumbs up from everyone. Thank you, Erin!
