The flavor of this bread makes it worth your time to get out all those spices, measuring each one perfectly. (Something I don't really like to do!) The texture was exactly what banana bread should be. Have patience and let the flavors mellow before you eat it! Thanks.

I just finished making this recipe and the taste and texture is fantastic. I followed the recipe as is except I used pumpkin pie spice as it contains all the the same ground spices the recipe calls for. The lemon zest and the almonds are a nice touch. Great recipe! Thanks for posting....My husband loves banana bread

Very good. Dense and moist. SO good right out of the oven with real butter. I did omit the lemon and almonds - only because I didn't have them but otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. Will definately make again. Thank you so much.

I followed the recipe almost exactly except, I replaced chopped apples inplace of the bananas. I also added a few spoonfuls of yogurt to replace the moisture the bananas would have added to the batter. Added pecans too...The bread turned out excellant. I just got my first loaf pan and couldn't wait to use it. I'm glad I used this recipe!! The flavor was soo wonderful, and I can't wait to have the bread for breakfast! Next time, I will try it with bananas!!

This is by FAR the best banana bread I have EVER had!!! So moist and delicious and quick to cook. It also rose marvelously.. no more flat bread here! I doubled the recipe and got four smaller loaves and a pan of mini muffins.
