I made these a few weeks ago and forgot to review them. We're brownies fanatics, and everyone gave them 5 stars. Very chewy, and not overly chocolate. I froze half and they defrost well. They also developed a little bit of a sugary crackly layer on the top that i really like on brownies. I left out the nuts. Thanks for the recipe!

These are just like we like them, chewy and moist but solid enough that you can hold them without it falling apart. I baked 25 min.

These were great! I used half whole-wheat pastry flour and half all-purpose, and they turned out perfectly. Definitely make these again...I love chewy brownies!! Thanks!

Loved the mild cocoa flavor and the slightly crunchy top that baked up. My husband was asking for a brownie that wasn't so gooey and overly sweet fudgy, if there is such a thing. This was perfect for our tastes. Deep cocoa flavor, chewy texture with that slightly crunchy top. The dusting of powdered sugar was just right. We love these. They did make a rather thin brownie, but that's OK when they taste this good.

Yum! Yum! Yum! We thoroughly enjoyed this recipe. Just for health sake, I used applesauce instead of the butter. Turned out just as good. My daughter says thank you.

Just made my second batch...a big hit with my brownie loving children. I was sceptical at first as the mixture was so dry I had to litrally spread the mixture into the pan. But do not fear they turned out so well. I liked the fact they use cocoa powder; I always have that to hand

I was looking for a recipe for to use some baking cocoa that I had, so I made these yesterday for my mother, the brownie fiend. They were a huge hit. The texture was silkier than the usual recipe that I use which contains baking chocolate. Yum!

These need to have 10 or more star rating! WOW! I let out an involuntary Mmmmmm when I bit into the still warm brownie! Cool completely....ya right, I dare ya! I did mine by foil lining an 8" square pan (for thicker 2" brownies) and greasing it. No messy pan, easy recipe and oh-so-good...definately a keeper! Thx for the recipe Kelleigh!
