Oh my!.. can you guys see my extra butt.. rich indeed, but oh so wonderful!! Gayla, this is an above 5 star recipe..not only because it tastes so good, but so easy to make. Thank you very, very much!! Tips for others: be gentle when spreading the peanut-butter mix (so the base doesn't lift off), and you will definitely love making 'bar' cookies, if you FOIL the pan. (no oil/grease, no sticking, and you don't even have to wash the pan)

I have made these so many times. Even sent them to my daughter in college and she called saying 'I was the best mom ever'! A hint: I melted the peanut butter and milk in the microwave for 2 minutes on high so that I could pour it over the crust--much easier! ENJOYED--thanks for sharing this recipe! Cherie

These are so rich & dense & full of chocolate & peanut butter! I love the pb filling! I used peanut M & M candy - red & green for Christmas so they looked very festive. The only change I made to the recipe was to only reserve 1 cup of crumbs for the topping - to me, it didn't look like there were going to be enough for the base - I liked the results!

Definitely worth 5 stars! It was simple enough to make that my 4 yr old could help (she loved patting down the dough, scattering M&M's, all that fun stuff). I am not a big 'sweets' person but ate my share, lol. I think I liked them even better the second day, when the peanut butter flavor had mellowed a bit. These were very rich and although I started out cutting the pan into 24 pieces, I ended up halving those and getting 48 smallish ones. I think if you did this in the 24-piece size and individually wrapped each piece in cellophane & ribbon, they would be the first thing sold out at a bake sale...they are so happy and cheerful looking with all the bright M&M's. Thanks so much for posting!

These turned out great, brought them to a pot luck and people loved them! I followed another commenters suggestion of melting the PB and sweetened condensed milk and was super easy to just pour over the bars. I also made sure to use UNsweetened coconut to avoid being overly sweet.

I didn't care for these, but they were ate up when I took them to work which is all that matters. I used foil to line the pan, and a small flipped to press the crust down evenly. I put the PB and SC milk in the micro for a few seconds to warm it so it would spread easier. Thanks for sharing

My kids went crazy over these. They were a little sweet for mine and DHs taste. Next time I will use about a 1/2 cup each of M&Ms and Chocolate Chips. They did turn out beautiful, though.

I agree--these are yummy and super easy to make. Didn't have any coconut, so left it out. Line your pan with foil (greased lightly). It makes removal and cutting a breeze.

very very very yummy, I made exactly as directed, had trouble waiting for it to cool compleately before i tasted it , so it became very crumbly as i cut it.... i had a piece then shoved the rest in the fridge to cool compleatly , the portion i actually waited for cut beautifully lol... lesson here is dont be impatient hhehehe...

Yummy! These were a little rich the same day, but they were excellent! The next day they were even better!
