I've tried many onion ring recipes from this site, but this was, by far, the best one! Didn't have any panko breadcrumbs, so I used regular. Like one reviewer, I also double dipped the onions. They were awesome! Thanks for sharing the recipe

These were very good. I did use panko breadcrumbs, and was very pleased with the results. Thank you.

Man O Man, were these ever good! Like others, I doubled dipped. Make these now, you will get nothing but RAVES! Thanks so much for posting, Kit.

I loved how the batter stuck to these onion rings! We used panko crumbs for the bread crumbs and it gave them a good crunch. I soaked the onions in the egg/b.milk mixture for an hour. I put all of the dry ingredients in a gallon size ziploc bag, then I dropped some onions (1 batch at a time) in the bag and tossed it around. It was fast, easy and gave a great coating. Thanks for the recipe. My husband is always suggesting we make some onion rings and this was the recipe I chose...so glad I did!

kittencal, all i had was regular bread crumbs so i used that. i only used one large vidalia onion, and believe me that was more than enough for the three of us.since i used only one onion, i"double dipped" the rings. these are the only onion rings that i have eaten that has not given me heartburn.thank you for posting. i will make these often.
