This is soooo good. And so easy. I did not have any sour cream so I substituted CREAM CHEESE and I also used a cup of coffee instead of water and it turned out WONDERFUL!!!! Highly recommend this one.

This is an absolutely wonderful cake. I received the recipe from my co-worker as it is a favorite at work. We bake it in a 9X13" pan but that is the only difference. It is so easy and the cake is moist and stays moist for days. I highly recommend this one for all you chocolate fiends like me.

This thin layer of cake reminded me of a very fudgy frosted brownie. Excellent flavor, very moist, and rich. I halved the recipe and poured the batter in a 7 X 11 pan, which worked perfectly. I used the extra dark Hershey's cocoa, and it made it look rich, too. Thanks for sharing.

This was great — very easy. I tripled the recipe and baked it in 2 15x20x1 pans for a church dinner. Turned out perfect when baked for the specified 20 minutes. I like the idea of using coffee in place of the water, also the cinnamon and cayenne. This recipe will be subject to much experimentation. About as easy as they come, especially the way you do the frosting. And I think it was better the morning after. Thanks for a keeper.

This cake was really delicious. I didn't have the 11 by 16 jelly roll pan, so made it in the 9 by 13. The only problem I had was that the middle of the cake rose up and when I poured the icing on, it rolled down into the sides and I had to fiddle with trying to spoon it up and over the top curve of the cake. Also, I had to cook it longer than the 20 mins. about 35 minutes. But, I'll tell you, it was scrumptious and I will definetly make again. Next time, I will buy a foil pan, the proper size in the photo. Thanks for posting. My family really enjoyed it!

This is very good but I have to bake mine for 30 minutes instead of the 20 minutes stated. I found the frosting a little too sweet. I may cut doen the confectioners' sugar to 3/4 pounds next time.

Wow. Thats a very choclate cake. Very Moist and The Icing was very good. I also did it in a 13 x 9 pan since I didnt have such a large pan, but it turned out just as I predicted. Thanks for a good cake.

I grew up on this stuff. It is by far my favorite chocolate recipe in the world. We have always added a teaspoon of cinnamon to the batter, and it gives it the most amazing flavor.

LOVED IT! This is our primaqry cake now. It's so fudgy. I admit, when I saw how little cocoa was needed, I had to fight a strong urge to add more, especially when I saw what a light color of reddish-brown that it was. But, I finally decided to go with it and do as the recipe said, and it's great. I have done the 9

Fast, easy and an excellent cake. Mine overflowed in the 11 x 16 pan so next time I'm going to try the 9 x 13. The icing recipe makes lots of icing.
