This was wonderful! I love store-bought sweet potato chips, so I decided to try to make these chips with a sweet potato. They turned out great! Better than store-bought, and much less expensive! Plus, they're a great healthy snack. I didn't have to cook mine quite as long as the recipe suggests--mine began to turn brown during the first of the two 2-minute segments. Just take them out whenever they start to turn brown. You don't want to overcook them! Again, let me just say that these were super, and I'll definitely make them in the future!!

I used my food processor to slice the potato real thin, so preparation was a breeze. I tried adding a little vinegar with the seasoning and had a fantastic low-fat snack!

What an amazing way to make homemade chips! I made this over the weekend when I just had to much on something salty. I used salt, pepper and oregano(!) as my seasonings. I had a little problem while turning the chips over the first time; they kinda stuck to my microwave dish rather stubbornly, and some of them also fused together! Still, they turned out great, if a little odd-shaped
I'll definitely make this again!

This recipe was everything I was expecting. I used Pam instead of olive oil and it worked great. Oh, I also used sweet potatoes. Great recipe, Mirj. I'll definitely use it over and over instead of buying high-fat chips!

Have do doubts ~ if you have a craving for an intense crisp potato flavor ~ these will definitely satisfy!! I love recipes you can make 'your own' and this is one of them. In my case ~ a large red potato sliced on a mandolin and a homemade seasoning blend of garlic powder, salt and pepper, with a pinch of dry mustard and chili powder. Instead of putting the spices together with the oil in the bag, I sprinkled the blend over each side as I zapped them (why leave all that yummy seasoning in the bag?!) Also, next time I will be using our microwave bacon dish that has a grid where all the moisture can fall away from the potatoes ~ on a regular plate, the slices in the middle did not crisp as well but were still incredibly delicious. I will be making a large batch of these to serve with the "baked potato dip" I just saw on Zarr's top appetizer list for our New Years Eve party ~ Happy 2005 Mirj ~ great treat!

WOW!! I am going to pass this recipe on and on and on and on and on and on! This recipe looked too good to be true, so I had to try it just to prove to myself that potatoes can actually crisp up in the microwave! Yippee! It really does work! The only change I made was to spray some PAM on the plate to keep the potatoes from sticking - it worked really well. These are tasty and the options are endless. This time I used sea salt, next time salt and vinegar, after that, I may try salt and pepper, some barbeque sauce, sweet potatoes... Thanks so much for sharing!!

Excellent! Actually, I think I would prefer these over the kind from the store. If you like potato chips of any sort, I'm positive you'll like these! What also is so great is that they're fast and easy.

I just made these and if I could give them more than 5 stars I would!! They were simple to make and very tasty. I used cajun seasoning. I also did a sweet potato and it turned out wonderful as well. This one is a definite keeper!!
