40 Reviews of Potatoes a L'alsacienne

From: currybunny

What great flavour these potatoes have, and so easy to make too! I used 1/2 teaspoon dried tarragon and thyme as I didn't have any fresh and made half the recipe for the two of us. Will certainly be making this again, thanks heaps for a great side dish!

Absolutely delicious! I used dried herbs instead of fresh and it tasted wonderful!

Fantastic! These may be the best potato's I've ever had. I also had to use some dried herbs, and some fresh. Great taste, texture, and smell. Also looked very nice on the plate. Many thanks.

Leslie, You have some terrific recipes , this included! I didn't re-read the directions when I started to fix this and I cooked the bacon first. It worked out okay but I am sure was a waste of time. I also, not paying attention, added a whole tablesppon of herbs instead of a half. That worked out just fine too and I discovered that I really like tarragon. I had never cooked with it before (I don't think). This recipe was picked for PAC Spring '06. Thank you for a real winner!

Leslie . . . these were great and so simple. Served them with Potsies French Toast Sandwich and doubt we'll eat the rest of the day! Thanks for sharing.

This recipe really is a wonderful way to serve potatoes! We have a project happening and have been making meals for some hungry hardworking men ... these potatoes made for a wow and were so enjoyed. Made as posted and the only change I would make is making more next time around. Thank you for the sharing.

Absolutely delicious potatoes. I used golden russet potatoes and cipolline onions. This recipe will go in my favorite sides cookbook. Thanks for posting, sarahsmomi.
