This was really good! We're trying to eat healthier and add more brown rice to our diet. The only change I made was to used minced onion instead of onion flakes. I sauteed the onion while browning the rice, and it was wonderful!

I was delighted to find this recipe. It is the best that we have tried. Some of the rice grains were a little under cooked,so I will add a bit more water and cook 5 to 10 mins. longer. The herbs and seasoning add just the right touch.

Great rice. I don't have a covered cassarole dish, so I used my cast iron dutch oven. I did the pre-fry of the rice in the dutch oven and then followed the recipe as directed. Greg, Barrow, Alaska

I had never cooked brown rice before, but thought I would give this a try. I cut the pepper down to 1/4 tsp since I don't care for too much pepper. The rice came out perfectly done, but it was still very peppery, so much so that I would not feed it to my children. Next time, I intend to leave out all but a dash of pepper. It smelled delicious while it was cooking and was very flavorful. My husband really enjoyed it. Thank you for posting.

I made this for my family, and everyone loved it! I only used one bouillon cube(to cut out sodium) and olive oil instead of canola oil or butter. Thanks so much for this recipe!

Wonderful combination of flavors. But it was not tender after the required time. I had to add some more liquid and bake an additional 15 min. Thanks for sharing. Ingrid/koechin

Served this with a pork tenderloin and roasted asparagus; fabulous. ad to make copies of the recipe for my guests. This goes with so many different entrees. A great, easy recipe to put in my "company's coming" file and the "everyday" file.

Prior to this recipe, i've always had a problem cooking brown rice. It never came out fluffy and light. But, this recipe makes the rice perfect and tasty too! Followed the directions perfectly and had no problem with taste and texture of the rice. This will definately be made over and over again. Thank you for sharing the recipe!

I've never been able to enjoy brown rice before this recipe. It has a great blend of seasonings and is simple to throw together. I also omitted the red pepper flakes, but will probably try them next time...and there will be many next times!
