WOW! I’ve never made anything quite like these but – having been inspired both by the list of ingredients and by Fairy Nuff’s photograph – then supported by such clear instructions, I was confident at all stages of making these. An elegant end result, quite modest fat content and just SO delicious – I always love citrus flavourings! This is a recipe I’ll be making again. Yet again, thank you for another fabulous recipe!

I don't think I've ever tasted a batter that is as delicate as this one. I only added 1 and a half cups of flour to the egg mix....it looked quite thick then and I knew that after an hour it would be even thicker.
The fritters fried up perfectly...and they were so good....I wish I'd made more
Thanks for the recipe!!

Yum! These were really good!! i just loved them! I had some apples i needed to use and thought to use this recipe as it's different, i didn't want to make apple pie. They were light and fluffy to me and tasted like beignets with apples in them. Thanks!

I botched this bigtime. I think the apples need to be chopped up more. I added some cinnamon. I see the potential in the recipe, tho. Sorry, Sistah.

Great fritters! I think I would like it with cinnamon sugar mixed in or on top too, and I think the apples would be more tender if sliced in 16ths instead of 8ths, but delicious as is. We had leftovers, and put them in the oven the next morning. They were still yummy!

We love apple fritters and these were yummy. My sons had some friends over and they were gone in no time. Made for ZWT4 for the Tastebud Tickling Travellers.
