This is a wonderful recipe. I have used it for years.I would suggest using small squash, that way you don't have to peel or seed them. More vitamins.

I really like this; simple and tasty. I used zucchini as that's all I had on hand. I sauteed the onion in part butter, part olive oil and mixed cheddar cheese in the mix as well as sprinkled some on top. Nice way to get your vegetables!

My family could not get enough of this. We just substituted town house crackers instead of the Ritz making it extra buttery. It is on our way to becoming one of our favourite side dishes.

Super tasty; made in individual serving to freeze extras for later. Really good! Thanks for posting!

This is the same as my Nanny used to make. She never seeded the squash. Also her recipe says Ritz or any other cracker. Thanks!

Delicious squash casserole! Simple and uncomplicated and no cream of whatever soup. The only reason I am giving four stars is I think it needs more cracker crumbs to bind it a little tighter. I used a little cheddar in the mixture in addition to what was sprinkled on top but it was still a little runny for my tastes but that is just me. Great recipe and it deserves all of the accolades it has received.

I made this almost exact but I didn't have enough squash so I added some zucchini and it turned out perfectly!

My neighbor gave me a large Acorn squash - unexpected company dropped in ! What better time to try out this recipe. It is excellent. I used Cheddar cheese., I haven't thought of Ritz crackers for years so I was glad for the excuse to to try them again. They are just right in this recipe. I made it in the morning put it in the fridge and popped it in the oven 30 minutes before dinner. Every scrap was eaten and enjoyed - Thanks William for a keeper
