A very flavourful and tasty soup that we both enjoyed. I will certainly make this one again. I did cut down on the thyme and it worked well for us.

Made this great tasting soup on the weekend with a repeat requested for tonights supper. This is a wonderful combination, with the thyme and pepper being just right for us. I lightly browned the butter and flour before adding the cream. Poaching two chicken breasts in the mirco wave made for quick cooked chicken. We love this easy to make Minnesota Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice soup. Thank you for sharing.

DELICIOUS! I added a dash of cayenne for some heat, but otherwise followed the recipe. I used homemade stock, and this soup was really wonderful. Thank you so much! I'll make it often.

I have made this soup a couple times already. I use homemade chicken broth which really enhances the flavor. It was easy to make and my husband loved it. I send some for my son's teacher, who is MN born and raised and she said it was "quite possibly the best soup I have ever had". Deffinately a keeper for us.

This was awesome! I was born in Minnesota and then lived in Wisconsin, and I LOVE wild rice soup. This is my first time making it. The only thing I did different was left out the thyme, that's not usually in wild rice soup. And I doubled the recipe so I could freeze some. I now live in Ohio and I haven't had wild rice soup in over a year. Thanks for the great recipe!!!

This is a keeper! The only changes I made were: no thyme (I didn't have any)so I added a little crushed garlic instead. And I added 1/2 c. chopped fresh broccoli. It was delicious (and as good as I have had in any restaurant). I will be making it a lot.

Very nice recipe even if I accidentally used black rice not wild rice. Don't ask! Nice warming winter soup. Thanks.
