Great for PMS craving sweet carbs!!! I nuked my 5 quarted potatoes for 5 minutes. Added them to the pan that had the melted butter and sugar with a touch of the potato water finished cooking till water evaporated and the potatoes browned and glazed over! Easy and yummy! Thanks!

Yummy! I only had about 4 potatoes totally just under 1 pound. So, I only used 1/2 of the other ingredients. It took almost 10 minutes in the butter/sugar to get the potatoes to the golden & carmelized stage. I thought the sugar was quite subtle. Very tasty sidedish!!

Very good potatoes. It was the sweet and salty combination that I really loved. So far it seems I was the only one who used baby potatoes and left them whole. The "evenly browned" part didn't come out so well because I was working on another side of the stove at the same time but these were awfully good anyway! I used 1 tablespoon butter in a non-stick skillet, and maybe a tablespoon and a half of sugar. A lot of it collected on the spoon I used and turned into toffee so I scraped it off and ate it:D

These were extremely good. Who would have thought to put sugar in potatoes.

These were SO GOOD!!! I LOVED them!!!!! I messed up the first batch...just the butter part thank god!! LOL!! I cooked the sugar and butter til I had toffee that separated from the butter!! I didn't give up and remade the sauce. I melted the butter, added the sugar AND the potatoes. Then cooked them a little. They came out GREAT! I probably could've cooked them a bit longer, but was afriad I'd end up with toffee again! Haha! But they were really good just as I made them!!!

YUM is right! these are so easy to make and so good! I just used halved potatoes in place of baby taters, increased the salt and added in black pepper. Delicious! thanks Cheryl!...Kitten

These were great, although I did a different variation on them. I made them as per the recipe, but then transferred them to a tinfoil pack and finished them on the barbeque. Fantastic!

Love these! I had never thought of having sugar on potatoes. This was great even though I had messed it up. First off, I used "normal" potatoes that I cut up with the skins on and the boiled. Well, I boiled them too long and they kind of became mush. Then, since I had such a large amount, I tried to "brown" them in the oven. That didn't work either. So I ended up getting out a frying pan and doing them up in small batches. They did get a bit brown but not as much as they were supposed to. I will try this recipe again and NOT mess with it! Thanks for posting such a neat recipe. We will use this again and again, I'm sure!
